9 Toughened Glass for High-transmittance Solar Cell Project

Background And Meaning of This Project

Solar energy electricity will be the main energy in 20years, 30% of all the accessible power, thus it will be the mainstream of clean and regenerating energy. As the development of our country’s generating electricity through solar energy, high-transmittance toughened glass grows by 30% every year. Generating electricity through solar energy also has more demand for high-transmittance toughened glass.

It is mainly used as the surface protection of polycrystalline silicon and monocrystalline silicon solar cell. So it requires that the transmittance must be above 90%.And the core of the technology is focused on the chemical elements and surface. The carry out of this project will promote the development of the comprehensive utilization of Donghai’s silicon, and technology level and additional value of silicon producing. It can also break through the blankness of this technology in China.

Market Forecast

At present, we have no factory that can produce toughened glass in China. The domestic demand for toughened glass each year is 4million square meter, which are all imported abroad, costing 82.9million $ every year. Therefore, it has a bright future.

Investment Budget, Scale, and the Construction Period

The budget of this project is 250 million RMB, which will be used for workshop construction, equipment purchase, technology research, development, and transfer.

It will take two years to construct. After that, the yearly output of toughened glass will be about 9million square meter.

Economic Profit

This project will realize the gross sale of 144million RMB, with the tax of 55.69million RMB, The investment can be returned in a year.

Way of Cooperation

Joint investment, cooperation, exclusive investment and technology investment are all welcome.
